App Summary

Wendus keeps guest lists, seating, venue planning, offline check-in, and encrypted backup on iPhone and iPad.

The app does not require a login or guest account.

Local event data is stored on the device by default.
CSV import auto-matches familiar columns, lets you remap custom headers, and previews new, updated, and skipped rows before anything changes.
Manual guest entry and CSV import support optional phone, email, WhatsApp, Instagram, and SMS contact fields.
Free Core supports one main event with up to 50 guests.
The local 3-day premium planning trial requires no payment and does not automatically charge.
Premium venue planning can import a venue-provided PDF or image, calibrate map scale, place measured tables and zones, and apply restricted areas to seating.
Venue mode works without a network service after seating and QR passes are prepared.
Household QR passes support staggered arrivals; lost or leaked passes can be revoked and reissued.
Camera permission is requested only when opening the QR scanner.
Venue Handoff sends encrypted check-in-only packets between nearby Wendus devices with premium access.
Backup & Transfer creates a passphrase-protected .wendusbackup file that can be restored on another device running Wendus. The passphrase cannot be recovered.
Encrypted local archives can be restored or deleted from Privacy & Editions.
Post-event closeout can purge sensitive fields, keep aggregates, archive the event, or delete local event data.
